Canucks checking out from Hospital

January 13, 2009

Luongo being helped off after pulling his groin

If everything goes right and on schedule, the Canucks may finally have a rare full healthy team. Can you believe it!? Check this out everyone, a healthy D core, a healthy goalie and less stressful baggy eyed GM. WO! Healthy team+Happy GM=happy me.

Luongo, the big player, the Italian Stallion, the 2nd coming of  Borat, is within a week to returning. They’re saying Thursday, which is good enough for me. It’s going to feel good winning those deadly 1 goal games again.

Taylor Pyatt is also within a week or two to returning. People really aren’t looking forward to his return. I say why? Maybe Tom Larscheid touched his right broken foot with his soft Bure groin touching hands and gave him special powers. Who knows?

And finally, the Finnish Mcinnis, Sami Salo is also within a week to returning. Finally, a Dman who can get the puck out of the zone without giving it up in the middle. But don’t expect him to be in the roster for long. He will injure himself again within 3 games. Just joking! Or am I? I hope he stays…

Canucks, checking out, a bigger more powerful team is returning. Watch out Calgary.

Sundin no points in 2 games, fans going mental

Mats Sundin plays 1st home game in Vancouver

It’s astonishing on what a loss can do to a city. Not only a city, but a message board! Watch out everyone, Canucks.com is going mad and the sky is falling! The sky is falling for a team in 5th in the Western Conference! Oh no!

People people people, take a chill pill. Have some Philly Cream Cheese on Triscuts, John Garrett always raves about them.

You see, Vancouver has a problem. I don’t know if it’s bigger than the snow removal problem that’s going on right now, but it’s pretty big. Vancouver Canuck fans DON’T HAVE PATIENCE! They absolutely do not. Did you really expect Mats Sundin, a player that has been away from the game for 9 months, to score 5 goals in his 1st or 2nd game? Did you really think that? If you did, buddy, give your head a shake and move to Calgary. Gees.

Did Mats Sundin rush his return a little too fast? Perhaps…perhaps. But, there’s a very good explanation for this; in order for a player to get used to the NHL speed and get his timing and all that fancy stuff back, he needs to actually play in games. 2 GAMES! 2 GAMES! ARE YOU SERIOUS!! Give him time people.

If Mats Sundin actually did score a goal in either of the 2 games, I would have been surprised. Heck, I’ll be surprised if he scores in his first 5 games. Yes I’m laid back, but common, reality check people.

The sky isn’t falling, you’re falling. Get up, wash your eyes, take a shower, eat something, take a nap and be realistic about Sundin’s situation.
